words like conceptual should be used carefully , just in case somebody does get pregnant , but this one seems safely abstract - and complete mystery , the three dimensional markings resemble something that could have been done on the surface of the film , but this is not film
Question, please. If you have time. How did you get the patches of texture to have such a plaster like appearence? I tried for hours to get something like that, and I failed. Lovely work!! Fantastic art in your gallery!! Bravo!!!
i tried also, later, to have the same effect, and i failed. it's a "normal" texture, but i played with the layering modes in photoshop, and the number of layers. the image was already out of focus, maybe it made a difference, too. i think my answer is not of any help, in the technical side.
There are major fertility problems. The lady is on her second attempt at IVF. She feels like she needs a baby, rather than simply wanting one. She has actually lost herself in that need and is becoming rather unbalanced in her life. Will she make it back to balance? We don't know.
funny thing, i saw the lady as in a womb herself, only not human flesh, made of concrete, smooth to the eye, rough to the touch. translucent concrete, does it exist? she wants to go out, the concrete womb is getting too small for her, like clothes that don't fit anymore... but she's so afraid it might be cold outside. in fact she is quite sure it is.
