suffering is a good ingredient for making images, i think :)  good there are other ways, too.

Mmm I think a good image of suffering can be created without it - and it even comes out better without it.
No suffering is needed, but the image of suffering should be present in me if I want to create the real image of suffering.

la souffrance est cumulative. avoir souffert devient l’être, et pas l’état, je suis d'accord.

but, even if no suffering is needed, it doesn't mean that suffering can't be a plus. even for brighter images, it can be the momentum.
