Mettre au coin
L'insignifiance
Des lents mouvements
Nos molles paresses

Disparaître presque
Sous le voile fin
Ou bien même encore
Suivre l'étoile filée

Et qu' arrivent les jours
Ceux du tendre calme
Un matin blanc d'horizon
Réveillés de nos heures

I see lichen spreading across the pages. This one has a very natural sort of decomposing feel to it. I once buried some photos in a time capsule in middle school. But we forgot to seal everything in plastic bags, so when we dug it up four years later, the moisture had gotten to it. The effect was very similar. :)

i also had images of my childhood thrown away in the garden and left there for years. we left the house during the war, when we came back years later, the images were totally decomposed and heavily attacked by many seasons of rain and sun. i wish i kept them though, i imagine i could have found interesting textures, almost abstractions in them.

btw, these are my own Polaroid images (the impossible project), used as overlaying textures. they "crystallized" after a while and lost all trace of the image they had.

ahhh! you should have kept those! though i don't blame you if you didn't..i know mine smelled horrible, and were dripping with some unknown syrupy substance. :puke: still, just like that rust, it is so intriguing what happens when nature collaborates!

that is so weird. does that happen when they are exposed to too much light or something? do you have one where the entire image crystallized?

some more than others, like you can see in the images here, but not entirely. it happened over time, a few month as i recall, and became of a uniform cream color where we had green and orange before [link] and [link]
