I want to make a new series, with your help. I already started it, I have 3 diptychs, made in collaboration with dA friends.
It goes like this. You send me one of your self-portraits, and I use it to create a diptych, in association with one of my selfs
I even found a name for this series : Di-a-Log as the particular diptych format evokes an exchange between the 2 subjects. The results I have so far are of intimate conversations. You -we- must not fear it, as we are only characters in this story Im creating.
So please, if anyone is interested, just send me one (or preferably many) of your auto-portraits
I only have 2 conditions here:
- That the portrait be unedited. a texturized image, a squared B&W photo will not leave me much room to play! I know its scary, (I personally am incapable of doing it) send them to me fresh out of the memory card. If you send 6 or 10, Ill be happy!
- That no one gets mad or sad if I cant do it. inspiration is such a fragile thing, I feel inspired today, I may not be tomorrow. So give me time and perhaps another try if it doesnt work.
If youre interested, send me a mail with your images in high resolution, but not more than 4 MB each please, my download speed is lower than you can imagine! my mail : privatedanser@gmail.com and yes, danser with an S, thats how I thought it should be.
be warned, this will be a slow collaboration project, with no date limits or obligation of results.
if you still want to participate, i'm happy

but i intend to continue with what i already have, i hope.
please send me if you can, and you are free to use any one of my self portraits in my gallery (there is a folder called "self as a subject" )
j'enverrai mes autoportraits quand je serai de retour chez moi, début juillet..
je les attends alors
I'd like to know if you accept other self-portraits than faces... I'd like to participate but I am too shy to photograph my face
a hand or foot could work?
but take in consideration it might take some time. i'm getting busy preparing for another exhibition, collective this time.
it's a deal then, send me a body part (oh, that's sounds creepy! no blood please!)
another exhibition!
i now have to try to make new self portraits, i'm starting to lack severely of them!
